Recovery
SoberHood advocates and supports long term recovery from alcohol and drug issues. Recovery happens! Studies show that recovery oriented services engage people earlier, complement clinical treatment and improve recovery outcomes. Recovery services improve recovery outcomes and support one's recovery across a lifetime.
Housing is highly correlated with recovery outcomes. While there are many pathways to recovery, abstinence is the fastest. Recovery Residences are nationally certified sober living environments that offer the best, more cost effective outcomes to people in recovery. In 2011, SoberHood launched the Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network (TROHN) and became an Affiliate Member of the National Association of Recovery Residences (NARR) to certify Recovery Residences in Texas.
Long term recover requires an individual to move away from a culture of addiction towards a culture of recovery. Recovery is a transformational process towards greater health and wellness. Spreading and deepening the culture of recovery no only changes an individuals life, it has the power to shift our society as a whole. In 2012, SoberHood launched Recovery People to broadcast the culture of recovery.
