RecoveryPeople

SoberHood launched Recovery People in January 2012 with the objective of:
  1. Cultivating and celebrating the culture of recovery across lives, families, workplaces and communities
  2. Providing and promoting peer recovery support services and opportunities in communities, homes, schools and workplaces, AND
  3. Fostering peer volunteerism, leadership and workforce development
SoberHood is excited to announce that we won a SAMSHA 2014 Million Hearts grant award for RecoveryPeople , our peer-led podcast, to promote heart health and wellness as a part of the larger Million Hearts initiative aimed at preventing 1 million heart attacks and strokes by 2017. The sobering fact is that persons in recovery are at higher risk for cardiovascular disease. The good news is that we can significantly reduce our risk through wellness and a heart healthy lifestyle. Tune-in to RecoveryPeople to learn how.
