Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) is a movement and paradigm shift in how we address mental substance use issues. Addiction is a chronic illness, and ROSC is a shift from an acute, episodic treatment model to a chronic care approach that includes prevention, early intervention, treatment, and long-term recovery support. It is a shift away from disease management and treatment plans to recovery management and person centered, recovery plans. ROSC principles include peer support, family and community. |
